Magnetic Screening at Finite Temperature
نویسنده
چکیده
It is shown that at finite temperature and in the presence of magnetic sources magnetic fields are screened. This is proven within the framework of classical transport theory both for the Abelian and non-Abelian plasmas. Magnetic screening arises in this formalism as a consequence of polarization effects occurring in the plasmas, and it is non-perturbative in the gauge coupling constant. It is then discussed whether this mechanism could be relevant in realistic quantum gauge field theories, such as QCD. PACS No: 51.10.+y, 12.38.Mh, 11.10.Wx, 11.15.kc ECM-UB-PF-96/24 December/1996

Effect of Variable Thermal Conductivity and the Inclined Magnetic Field on MHD Plane Poiseuille Flow in a Porous Channel with Non-Uniform Plate Temperature
The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of the variable thermal conductivity and the inclined uniform magnetic field on the plane Poiseuille flow of viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid between two porous plates Joule heating in the presence of a constant pressure gradient through non-uniform plate temperature. It is assumed that the fluid injection occurs at lower pl...
متن کاملStudy on Fe3O4 Magnetic Nanoparticles Size Effect on Temperature Distribution of Tumor in Hyperthermia: A Finite Element Method
In recent years, Hyperthermia has been used as an emerging technique for cancer treatment, especially for localized tumors. One of the promising cancer treatment approaches is magnetic nanoparticle (MNPs) Hyperthermia. In this theoretical work, the temperature distribution of a common tumor over the different sizes of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles, namely 25, 50, 100, and 200 nm, was stud...
متن کاملSpontaneous magnetization in QCD and non-Fermi-liquid effects
Magnetic properties of quark matter at finite temperature are discussed by evaluating the magnetic susceptibility. Combining the microscopic calculation of the self-energy for quarks as well as the screening effects for gluons with Fermi-liquid theory in a consistent way, we study the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility. The longitudinal gluons have the static screening given ...
متن کاملMagnetic Screening in Thermal Yang-Mills Theories
We develop a semiclassical method to calculate the density of magnetic monopoles in non-abelian gauge theories at finite temperature in the dilute gas approximation. This quantity is related to the inverse magnetic screening length for which we obtain μM = 0.255g T in SU(2).
متن کاملNumerical Study of turbulent free convection of liquid metal with constant and variable properties in the presence of magnetic field
In this research, turbulent MHD convection of liquid metal with constant and variable properties is investigated numerically. The finite volume method is applied to model the fluid flow and natural convection heat transfer in a square cavity. The fluid flow and heat transfer were simulated and compared for two cases constant and variable properties. It is observed that for the case variable pro...
